CANDIDATE GUIDELINES
Before booking your service you must determine if you are a good candidate for a cosmetic tattoo, if any of the following applies to you, you MUST contact me BEFORE booking to discuss whether you can have a cosmetic tattoo done at this time. Failure to meet guidelines can result in loss of deposit.
-
You are under 18 (no exceptions, must be 18 or over to book, ID must be provided at time of the procedure)
-
You have any skin irritations or psoriasis near the area to be treated, this includes sunburn, acne, rashes, etc
-
You are anemic or have low iron levels, as this can cause the pigment to fade faster
-
You have been on Accutane within the past year (no exceptions as it can completely alter the skin)
-
You are currently pregnant or breastfeeding (no exceptions, you must be completely done breastfeeding before booking)
-
You are prone to keloid scarring
-
You have had Botox or filler within the last 3 weeks, you want to wait 3 weeks after getting either before doing your brows to ensure it has fully settled
-
You are currently using Retinol, Retin A, AHA, or BHA as these products can affect retention and colour. All use of these products must be stopped 1 week prior to the procedure
-
You have a heart condition or Pacemaker
-
You have diabetes (a Doctor's note must be obtained to get the procedure)
-
You have a viral infection or diseases, such as HIV or hepatitis
-
You are currently undergoing chemotherapy
-
You have known allergies to anaesthetics used during the procedure: lidocaine, prilocaine, trilocaine and epinephrine (you can contact me to discuss options)
-
You have previous microblading/brow tattoo or freckle tattoos, you must contact me and send pictures and be approved to book an appointment
-
You have oily skin, I can still work with you but if you must be aware that your final results won't be as crisp, they will be softer and more powdery and will likely fade more quickly.
-
You have super-thin skin, you will likely bleed more during the procedure, have a harder time healing and the pigment can appear more ashy and patchy once healed.
-
You have sparse, coarse brow hair. You can still get a cosmetic tattoo but it may take multiple sessions to achieve the same density as your natural hair and in some cases shading may also be required to build density. Please contact me to discuss which service would be a good fit for your brows!
